About MESH technology
Mesh is designed to optimize and repair itself, constantly searching for the best connection and automatically establishing a new one when a device is disconnected. Two different Mesh modes are available in the CAST system: Open Mesh and Group Mesh. Open Mesh allows multiple users to connect within an effective range of 1.1 km (0.7 mi), providing a wide-area network. Group Mesh is designed for private sessions and can accommodate up to 24 participants.
Clear Communication for Optimal Safety
Maintaining open lines of communication in the workplace is critical to safety. CAST addresses these issues by utilizing full-duplex technology that enables hands-free communication. This system allows workers to communicate effortlessly and without having to use their hands to manipulate the device while working. CAST headsets offer hearing protection and effective communication capabilities in noisy and busy workplaces. Available in two styles: headband-style earpieces with 34 dB of noise reduction and an integrated helmet design with 30 dB of noise reduction. The headset prioritizes safety and comfort, featuring a hands-free intercom system and a user-friendly three-button design for easy operation.
Long Talk Time for Big Days
The CAST’s talk time when connected to Sena’s proprietary Mesh network can reach up to 9 hours, powered by the included removable lithium-polymer battery. The battery fully charges in just 2.5 hours using the USB Type-C port. Additional lithium-polymer batteries are available to keep on hand and swap out when charging is inconvenient. Alternatively, the CAST can be powered by 3 x AAA batteries.*
