Descender CAMP, mod. DRUID (2232)

Descender CAMP, mod. DRUID (2232)

Description

Lightweight, compact automatic descent mechanism for rope access and rescue, designed for semi-static ropes of 10-11 mm. The anti-panic function in the lever re-engages the thumb if the handle is pulled too far, which can lead to unsafe descent speeds. The body and lever are made of a strong hot-forged aluminum alloy. The mechanical parts are made of precision-cast stainless steel. The internal mechanism and locking thumb use an innovative design for a smooth action on the rope, which prevents rapid wear and tear and absorbs the energy of small impacts with slight slippage of the rope. The sliding action on the rope also allows the Druid to function well for rope climbing. The thumb can be deactivated with a trigger to allow rapid sliding of the rope in no-load or limited-load situations. Steel ring for securing a rope for support.
Standards:
- EN 12841/C as a work line descender for workers up to 120 kg; can also be used for rope access rescue up to 200 kg.
- EN 341/2A as a single line emergency escape device for workers up to 120 kg, 11 mm semi-static rope (Iridium 11 mm).
- EN 15151-1 for climbing structures using mountaineering techniques with dynamic ropes ranging from 9.9 to 11 mm.
